Pastor Charles Hamilton (2019 - Current)

Pastor Charles Spencer Hamilton is the second pastor of New Morning Light Baptist Church. He began pastoring our church on October 6, 2019.

Pastor Hamilton is a native of Stone Mountain, Georgia where he graduated from Stone Mountain High School. He received a degree in Speech Communication from Clark Atlanta University and answered his call to ministry during the last semester of his senior year. While in school he joined the legacy of distinguished men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. 

After receiving his bachelor's degree he attended Emory University's Candler School of Theology and graduated with a Masters of Divinity in May of 2019.

Pastor Hamilton previously worked for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship where he advocated for social and economic issues in Washington, D.C. . During his time at the Fellowship, he traveled to Kenya for a global mission immersion project where he witnessed and felt the magnificence of God in the people, culture, and land. 

In addition to pastoring the church, Pastor Hamilton also serves the country as a Chaplain in the Army National Guard.

Pastor Hamilton is a man of God who is committed to spreading the Gospel through the love of Jesus Christ.
